Armstrong Ceilings has released the guide to its capabilities and the specialist products it offers to companies in the office, retail, transport and health and education sectors, Industry Today has reported.
The firm's logistic plans, which it tailors for contractors, is designed on a just-in-time implementation system.
Armstrong also stated that it performs site visits in those situations where it is needed to provide additional guidance.
Among the other services that its brochure highlights is the ability to create CAD drawings and to work on production schedules that incorporate any specific installation instructions.
One-on-one, detailed consultations with the main contractors are also part of the service and it claims this is the key to it understanding the performance requirements of the space.
The key role that supply chain planning plays in a company's success was recently highlighted by Steve Steutermann, research vice president at Gartner, who claimed that this can be enough to distinguish a company from its competitors.
