The Business Car of the Year, voted for by readers of BusinessCar magazine, has been revealed.
The Volkswagen Golf walked away with the accolade, which, according to the magazine, has remained a favourite in the business car sector for a number of years thanks to its brand prestige, effective running costs and the fact that it is good to drive.
Paul Barker, editor of the magazine, said: "The BusinessCar Awards take the temperature of the corporate arena as they're decided by those people experiencing and relying on the products and services on a daily basis."
He also noted that it was no surprise that the VW Golf won the title as it remains a desirable and popular product.
BMW won two of the other headline awards at the event - Manufacturer of the Year and the Environmental Award.
The marque also won five category awards, while Audi also took three accolades.
