FTA to boost profile of supply chain issues at conferences

Issues related to supply chain strategy and logistics planning are set to be considered at upcoming political party conferences thanks to a new initiative.

The Freight Transport Association (FTA) has announced the launch of the Transport Hub, which will enable members to outline their messages to parties while avoiding any clashes in the hectic season.

Membership for the scheme continues to grow, but the main players currently involved include the likes of DHL, the Airport Operators Association and Kapsch.

Michael Webb, public affairs manager of the FTA, said: "We shouldn't allow the myriad voices in the transport community to drown one another out.

"Within the Transport Hub, all members will be afforded their time in the spotlight without fear of their messages being compromised by irksome timetable clashes."

The FTA is running two conferences of its own later this year, with Dangerous Goods events taking place in both Coventry and Warrington.
