Transport planning bosses may wish to register their interest as the Freight Transport Association (FTA) prepares to host its annual Urban Logistics Conference.
Hauliers, businesses and policymakers will all be in attendance at the event, which takes place in London on March 10th, to discuss the future of the industry.
Transport minister Paul Clark will be the keynote speaker at the meeting, discussing the launch of the Noise Abatement Society and the quiet deliveries demonstration scheme.
The conference will also address current issues affecting urban freight deliveries, as well as providing advice on best practice and policy developments.
FTA's Stephen Kelly said businesses and local authorities "share a joint goal" in their aims to efficiently manage goods deliveries in busy town and city centres.
"It is paramount that both parties' requirements are understood in order to create workable solutions that seamlessly service the demands of local businesses and residents alike," he added.
Earlier this week, the Road Haulage Association issued a warning to haulage companies to remain vigilant after a spate of thefts took place at transport depots across the country.
