A stationery company in the West Midlands has been handed an award in recognition of its effective supply chain strategy.
Mitsubishi Pencil, which is based in Worcester, was honoured by UK Lyreco for delivering its goods to retailers and consumers on time, correctly and "without fuss".
This, it said, is the sign of good logistics and a demonstration of the level of excellence within its supply chain, reports the Berrows Journal.
Paul Phelan, managing director of Mitsubishi Pencil, has welcomed the honour, describing it as a "great achievement" by all its staff.
"Were all very pleased to have received these awards," he commented.
The firm has an international supply chain, as it was founded in Tokyo and is still based in the Japanese city.
However, Worcester is the headquarters of its operations in the UK and Europe, while numerous subsidiaries and distributors also form part of the company.
