Renovation company Apollo is holding a series of events across the UK in a bid to attract new supply chain partners.
The organisation is aiming to work with local trade contractors and suppliers in a bid to expand from its base in the south-east of England.
Dan Germann, Apollo's regional director in the Midlands, told Construction Enquirer that as the company develops its business in a new region, it is essential that it taps into the local labour and skills pool, in addition to sourcing local suppliers.
"This not only bolsters our ability to operate effectively in the region, but allows us to help reinforce the strength of the local pound," he explained.
The firm has already held a meeting in the Midlands, with more events planned in the south-west, Scotland and Wales in September and October.
Meanwhile, a new report by Aberdeen Group, entitled International Transportation: Optimise Cost and Service in a Global Market, has suggested that an increase in customer demand for high delivery performance is driving the need to ensure shipment integrity.
