Legal & General Property has obtained planning permission for its proposed 900,000 sq ft warehouse scheme on a 70-acre site in Corby, Northants.
The development will comprise a rail connection through Midland Mainline to the Felixstowe and Birmingham, a warehouse unit with eaves up to 28m and 130 loading doors as well parking for up to 771 vehicles.
It will be built by Roxhill Developments.
Jonathan Holland, senior fund manager at Legal & General Property, said: "There are very few competing sites which benefit from the scale, flexibility and connectivity of this site, with the added benefit of having a rail head in situ which connects it to the Port of Felixstowe."
Burbage Realty, CBRE and Jones Lang LaSalle have been given the task of marketing the scheme.
Legal & General originally submitted their plans for the warehouse in May this year, and believes that once completed the development could provide the area with 1000 new jobs.
The site was previously used as a distribution centre for Gefco UK.
