Systems Training and Hargreaves Training Services have merged to form the UK's largest logistics training company.
The organisations have joined forces to form a business which will have a national footprint of 20 training centres, as well as a workforce of over 300 employees.
In news which may interest those planning to launch continuous improvement strategies, the merged entity is set to offer driver training and work closely with logistics providers, sector skills councils and trade organisations.
Robert Brown, chief executive of System Training, said the new organisation will be "considerably stronger" than the individual companies.
He added: "System Training will now be able to offer its award-winning Driver CPC training model, which has already saved clients millions of pounds, on a national basis."
The launch of the new training firm has come after the Freight Transport Association revealed plans to host two Dangerous Goods conferences in Coventry and Warrington later this year.
