CMTC and CSA celebrate partnership

California Manufacturing Technology Consulting (CMTC) is drawing to a close its three-year partnership with the California Space Agency (CSA) this month.

CMTC is celebrating its three-year collaboration with the CSA with its final seminar entitled 'Introduction to 21st Century Supply Chain Management'.

The partnership was funded by a $15 million grant from the US Department of Labour to the State of California and the CSA, and the aims were to discover which skills were required in order to make sure suppliers could work competitively on a global scale.

John Anderson, CMTC's aerospace and defence director, said: "CMTC was very pleased to partner with CSA and its other partners to improve the effectiveness of the aerospace supply chain."

Reassessing a supply chain is one of the most efficient ways to save businesses money, but not many businesses will benefit from government grants to aid their efforts.

As such, contracting a third-party supply chain management consultancy could prove beneficial to those hoping to make positive changes to their own supply chain.
