Trucks manufactured by Renault have been praised for offering relative value for money when compared with other brands.
According to door distributor JB Kind, it looked at every major commercial vehicle manufacturer available in the UK market when it decided to replenish its fleet.
Transport coordinator Ryan Farmer said a number of factors set Renault vehicles apart from its competitors.
"We chose Renault trucks as they offered greater value for money," he commented.
"The initial purchase price, linked with the cost of ownership and class-leading fuel efficiency, clinched the deal."
The company will now be operating Renault Midlum 220.14 trucks with Hatcher semi sky cabs in its supply chain strategy, while it has also invested in a Renault Midlum 7.5 tonne truck and a Renault Premium 280.18.
However, commercial vehicle operators that decide to invest in new vehicles could be well advised to make sure they are properly looked after.
TyreSafe recently warned that fleet operators must be highly vigilant and ensure their vehicle is safe, particularly as drivers can now be handed fixed penalty notices at the roadside.
