Distribution services group TM Logistics has introduced advanced vehicle tracking technology across its entire fleet.

As reported by Fleet Directory, by implementing Navman Wireless's system in all 126 of its UK-based vehicles, the group claims that it will make cost reductions and boost employee productivity.

Dean Nicholas, systems and solutions manager at TM Logistics, told Fleet Directory: "As a progressive, forward-thinking company we're always keen to utilise the latest in cutting edge technologies.

"People are at the heart of our business and we believe in giving staff the tools they need to do their jobs effectively."

Mr Nicholas added that the technology had helped TM Logistics to "become even more efficient".

The midlands-based company currently manages logistics accounts for major players such as Bosch, Crown Fods and Kingspan.

Earlier this month, officials from the Freight Transport Association called on the government to reduce duties for the logistics industry at the upcoming budget address.
