Businesses are being urged to capitalise on the London Olympics in 2012 by making the most of an online service which highlights contracts that are yet to be paired with businesses.
The supply chain focused on the Olympics is estimated to be worth £6 billion, and so there is a wealth of contracts to be won by private firms able to add their services to the Games.
Richard Ellis, chairman of the East of England Development Agency, said: "It is estimated that somewhere in the region of 75,000 contracts will be procured through the London 2012 supply chain - everything from construction services to coach-driving, design work to road-marking."
Firms hoping to work alongside the Olympics in London may have to reassess their own supply chains in order to take account of added demand for their services, as well as new locations.
For a complete supply chain management service, outsourcing a supply chain often produces effective results, thanks to a fresh approach from experienced managers.
