Supply chains useful 'for cutting the fat'

New Mexico Business Weekly has reported on the issue of rapid business expansion, reminding many business owners that a speedy expansion is often made difficult by a lack of cashflow.

With the financial crisis currently in full swing and a recession talked of in 2009 the cashflow question is likely to be more of an issue over the next 18 months.

As such, supply chain management can become a priority for any company.

Patrick Garr, of Expense Reduction Analysts, suggested to one New Mexico company to reassess their supply chain management in order to free up spare cash.

Most businesses will also find the same opportunities to cut costs in a supply chain, and doing so is unlikely to affect the quality of a product in the same way cutting staff would.

Supply chain management can be a lengthy and in-depth process however, and so a supply chain management company is often the best route to making sure a supply chain is handled in the most efficient manner.
