Dubai Chamber's Centre for Responsible Business (CRB) is to hold a workshop on the social responsibility of supply chains, supporting the notion that supply chains have been thrust into the limelight in recent years.
The workshop will last one and a half days, from August 31 to September 1, and is entitled The Environmental and Social Impacts of Supply Chains.
Recently, a rising demand from consumers for both ethical goods as well as environmentally friendly goods has led to a company's supply chain management becoming one of the most influential aspects of the product.
Many businesses may want to attend the seminar in order to gain a thorough understanding of ways to create a more ethical or green supply chain, but for a truly efficient makeover, outsourcing supply chain management may be the most responsible course of action.
Outsourcing a supply chain will ensure the management is taken over by both experienced and connected managers, with a fresh approach.
Corporate Social Responsibility can now make the difference between consumers approving of a brand and leaving a product behind, and for those already ethically-minded, there are premiums to be enjoyed regarding the sale of ethically-sourced products, as the success of Fair Trade coffee has proved.
