A list of companies with the best global supply chains in regards to operations and innovative excellence has been revealed.
The annual list, published by AMR Research, found Apple to be top of Fortune Global 500 companies that have performed well.
In total, 25 companies are listed, with Apple staying on top because of its "unbeatable combination of killer financials and stellar opinion scores".
Coming second in the list is Dell, with Proctor & Gamble coming in third.
Kevin O'Marah, chief strategy officer at AMR Research, said: "Over the past five years, this report has chronicled the emergence of new ideas like the build-to-order model pioneered by Dell of the emergence of content-based value chains exemplified by Apple and Disney.
"While economic uncertainty slowed demand, companies on this year's list used demand-driven principles to detect a troubled economy early and secure their cash positions well."
Also making the top 25 were Nokia, Johnson & Johnson, Tesco and Lockheed Martin.
