As such, a new software package has been launched by Fueltek to help monitor stock control.
Named Fueltek Fuel Manager Online, fleet managers can access driver and vehicle fuel usage without the need for micro-management.
Reports produced by the system can be customised to highlight information that is relevant and can automatically issue reminders via email or text message when fuel stocks fall to a position when more needs to be ordered.
As well as haulage fleets, Fueltek has noted that the application could be useful for public transport bodies, manufacturers, local authorities, emergency services and other fleet vehicle organisers.
Additionally, the programme is multi-user meaning that relevant delegated tasks can be used across a business, with both local site managers and fleet managers can directly access the information.
As well as the newly created software, Fueltek offers the opportunity to purchase environmentally safe storage and contents fuel gauging.
