Road hauliers are concerned about rising fuel prices and they expressed their frustrations at the Shropshire Truck Show this week.
Reports from the Shropshire Star revealed that event organisers invited hauliers to air their views.
Neil English, from Event Developments, said that rising fuel costs were a "hot topic" and he said that the issue "impacts on everybody".
"Hauliers are being hit hard by the fuel situation and we thought it was important that it should be highlighted at the truck show," he said.
Mr English said it was part of the show's policy to highlight any issues affecting the industry as a whole.
The news of protests echoes the views of the Road Haulage Association (RHA) which has called on the government to act on increasing fuel prices.
The RHA called for a Fuel Duty Regulator to aid fuel prices when the cost of oil increases.
Following the pressure, the government decided to debate the matter and Roger King, chief executive of the RHA, said it would be doing everything to support the introduction of a regulator.
