An Ayrshire haulage company is reaping the benefits of improved efficiency and cost reduction after taking delivery of five new Renault trucks.
Maxi Haulage has added the Euro 5 Renault Midlum 180.08s to its fleet of over 100 vehicles, which operate across the company's network of locations in the UK.
The new vehicles will be covering around 100,000 kilometres every year, so reliability and fuel efficiency were important considerations.
Maxi Haulage's fleet engineer Jim McFarlane said: "We have found the Midlum to be a good, reliable, value-for-money vehicle.
"This is very important in our drive for cost reduction and improved efficiency so that we continue to provide our customers with a low cost, quality service."
Last month, British pharmaceutical manufacturer Thornton and Ross also added a new Renault truck to its fleet as it sought to improve the fuel efficiency of its vehicles.
The firm took delivery of a Euro 5 Renault Premium 270.18 rigid.
