The Supply Chain Council will host its annual Supply Chain World - Europe 2008 conference in Hungary this year, it has been announced.
The Budapest Marriott, in the Hungarian capital will be the venue in which the conference - subtitled 'Unlocking Supply Chain Value Through SCOR' - will be held, no doubt to the delight of many supply chain managers looking for some luxury while they're in eastern Europe.
The conference will run for three days, beginning September 30 and finishing on October 2.
Supply chain management has come up against various new challenges in the past five years, as customers are more and more requesting ethically sourced and produced goods, which also represent no risk to the environment.
A company looking to make significant changes to its own supply chain management may wish to outsource its operations to a third party supply chain management company, which will be able to handle many forms of business models to maximise the effectiveness of a supply chain.
