A new logistics deal has been agreed between DHL and Debenhams.
The two firms are continuing a partnership that has lasted for 12 years so far.
The specialist fashion unit of DHL will continue in its current role of providing distribution and warehousing for the retailer's stores across the UK and Ireland.
DHL will operate of the Debenhams distribution centres in the UK, offering a range of transport and warehousing services, the company has confirmed.
The new deal offers cost improvements, DHL claims, adding that it has already worked to reduce the number of kilometres travelled in the Debenhams supply chain, helping to save some 203,000 litres of fuel.
Carbon dioxide emissions have also been reduced by 517 tonnes year-on-year since 2006, the transport and logistics company said.
Managing director of DHL supply chain fashion UK Paul Richardson said: "Our partnership with Debenhams has a history spanning more than a decade and in this time we have worked together to provide the most efficient solution in an demanding and dynamic business."
