A cosmetic surgery provider has managed to cut running costs of its vehicles by replacing them with Proton Gen-2 ecoLogic dual fuel vehicles.
The Hospital Group, which provides a door to door chauffer service to patients to help reduce surgery stress, covers around 100,000 miles a year with its fleet of 12 vehicles.
Sarb Sandu, the transport manager of The Hospital Group, said that the move had been "a positive one".
"We travel miles and miles each day, transporting our patients to and from our private hospital in the Midlands, Dolan Park, now we can help our patients as well as helping the environment," he added.
It costs between £1,500 to £2,500 to convert a car to Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG), which produces less carbon monoxide and retails at around 52p per litre.
Humberside Police have saved around £300,000 fuel costs a year thanks to changing over ten years ago to LPG.
