Haulage firm Eddie Stobart has commended its performance throughout the economic recession.
The transport and logistics group said this year got off to a successful start with the purchase of Carlisle Lake District Airport.
This, it stated, contributed towards it performing "satisfactorily" over the last few months, reports ShareCast.
Commenting on the outlook for the business, Eddie Stobart said: "We remain in line with market expectations.
"We are entering the next phase of our integration and expect to achieve further benefits through this process."
However, the transport and logistics sector is still experiencing difficulties as a result of the recession and ongoing increases in fuel prices.
Pat Glancey of the Road Haulage Association believes this is making it very hard for hauliers to meet costs.
Speaking to the Scotsman, he warned that the slightest increase in fuel costs has a "massive impact" on haulage businesses.
Mr Glancey added that this is prompting some companies to consider whether taking on certain jobs is cost-effective.
