The Freight Transport Association (FTA) has again hit out at the "unreasonably high tolls" charged for lorries crossing the River Severn.
According to the organisation, a lack of action from both the Welsh Assembly Government and Westminster has left many businesses reeling from huge and unfair transport bills.
Ian Gallagher, FTA's policy manager for Wales, said goods vehicles already pay higher tolls to use the Severn Crossing than they do for other vital routes in England and Wales.
While steps have been taken to freeze tolling prices elsewhere in an effort to support companies during the recession, operators using the Severn Bridge have been offered no such help, he added.
"The government has shown a commitment to help business by reducing tolls on the Humber Bridge. Our question is simple: why is this commitment not being extended to Wales?" Mr Gallagher questioned.
The latest call for action on the issue comes after the FTA last week hit out at the "disproportionate cost burden" imposed on firms using the Severn Bridge.
Tolls on the road are currently the highest in the UK and fees are set to increase again in the new year.
