The Freight Transport Association (FTA) will be showcasing its latest logistics information services at the Multimodal Show 2010 next month.

The organisation will present its best practice guides, case studies, key statistics and latest products at its stand during the event in Birmingham from April 27th to 29th.

Transport planning chiefs will also be invited to attend a session of the FTA's International Supply Chain Forum (ISCF), with all industries welcome to take part.

"This Forum guides FTA's industry, lobbying and campaigning activities in international movements of goods, so it will be interesting to bring the ISCF to an even wider audience," said Roy Bufton of 3M, who chairs the forum.

He added that there will be no shortage of issues to discuss, with hot topics ranging from improved port access and the future economic climate to the latest operational challenges and public policy issues.

Earlier this month, the FTA also raised the issue of enforcement on overseas lorries, claiming more must be done to remove unsafe foreign drivers and vehicles from Britain's roads.
