Transport planning and logistics are to be on the agenda at a forthcoming conference, which is scheduled to welcome key executives from manufacturers including Toyota and Nissan.
It is the tenth annual event of its kind and also welcomes "major players" who can give their thoughts on supply chain strategies.
The Automotive Logistics Global Conference will also look at the development of the electric car and how the industry will move forward.
"What [the meeting] does for the industry is unsurpassed as far as these events go," explained Frederick Toney, vice-president of customer services at Ford. He recently held the title of executive director for supply chain and parts logistics at the company.
"It is an important time to network, benchmark and learn how others are managing the current business climate."
Industry groups in the UK may be interested to see how things unfold at the conference, having recently voiced their opinions on the government's fuel duty increase.
