In news that may affect those who work within logistics transport planning, the Road Haulage Association has appointed a new head of technical services.
Ray Engley will start the post on August 17th, based in the group's Weybridge office.
He said he was pleased, as well as excited, to take the role especially as the association and industry was going through a period of change.
"I look forward to working closely with colleagues during what I believe will prove to see some of the biggest changes in road transport operations for many years," stated Mr Engley.
Before joining the organisation two years ago as public affairs manager, he had gained significant experience of truck and maintenance procurement through a long career within the haulage industry.
The RHA provides advice, information, business services and campaigning for the sector in the UK.
It can offer advice on employment, hazardous goods, security and technical issues.
