Clothing company kits out its warehouse

Corporate clothing supplier Trojan UK is kitting out its new warehouse at Kings Norton Business Park in Birmingham with two new Yale M010 high level order pickers and two Genie scissor lift machines from Briggs Equipment.

Briggs has advised Trojan on the best racking and has utilised warehouse simulation software to modify it’s the equipment to the clothing firm's requirements.

“Our old facility was like a labyrinth and it was taking us longer to pick and dispatch our stock. We needed a new facility where we could be more self-contained and with the help of Briggs we now have a completely bespoke warehouse that will ensure we get goods in and out quickly," Peter McLoughlin, operations manager at Trojan, said.

The company handles in excess of 40 corporate orders each hour and a myriad of new contracts have persuaded them that an overhaul of the warehouse needs was required.

Trojan UK aren't the only company looking forward to a new warehouse operation. Yorkshire firm BJS Storage and Distribution have this week relocated to a new 150,000 sq ft logistics site in Doncaster.
