Digital imaging and audiovisual distributor Midwich has moved to a new purpose-built warehouse in Minworth near Birmingham.

The firm, which sells to businesses in the trade only, began moving its stock to the new premises in October and completed the move at the beginning of this month.

Stephen Fenby, managing director of Midwich, said that the move will help improve service to the firm’s clients while also help reduce costs. Previously, Midwich were operating from two separate warehouses meaning its risk for errors was greater.

Mr Fenby stated “Whilst running two warehouses was never a cause for concern in terms of customer service, centralisation will result in a reduction in the potential for logistical error as well as a cost saving which we can pass on to our customers.”

Midwich are just the latest in a long line of companies which has seen the benefit of centralising its warehouse operations. Earlier this month Advance Supply Chain opened at a new site in Corby so that it could service its clients more easily.ADNFCR-1654-ID-801241170-ADNFCR
