Top 12 business concerns 'now focused on supply chains'

Tuesday, 23/12/2008 03:54
Research into the top 12 concerns among businesses as they enter the new year has shown that, instead of inward concerns, this year has borne many more outward concerns, ranging from ethics to supply chain management.

US-based Integrity Interactive Corporation (IIC) has found that concerns regarding supply chain integrity has risen in 2008, with companies now concerned about the ethical status of the production of their products more than ever before.

"Concern over new supply chain regulations, negative media exposure from potential supply chain scandals and conduct of business partners played a role in pushing Anti-Bribery Requirements (number one on the top12 concerns), Conflicts of Interest & Gifts (number two) and Product Safety & Liability (number six) to the top half of this year's list," read a statement from IIC.

Any company hoping to improve the quality of its supply chain or secure an ethical name for themselves may benefit from contacting a supply chain management company, which can help find ways to cut many costs from a business through its supply chain.
